Middle Rasen Nursery understands the benefits from playing and learning outside, this improves children's physical and emotional wellbeing. We are lucky enough to be able to use the sites Forest School area, this is hugely beneficial for children to develop self-awareness and help with a range of emotional and development needs. We currently have a qualified Forest school leader level 3 and staff currently undertaking training.

MIddle RAsen Nursery
Established for over 25 years and sited securely within the grounds of Middle Rasen primary school. The provision consists of a nursery age group 0 - 5 years and an
extended provision known as "Play Matters" for children aged 0 - 11 years. The provision is managed by a voluntary committee of parents, carers, and guardians. We serve
the local village and surrounding district, opening 5 days a
week term time only. We have a maximum of 36 children at one time and have 6 members of staff who are highly qualified in relevant childcare qualifications as well as an administrator who is qualified in Business and Administration. We provide a Summer Holiday Club for all children aged 0 -11 years throughout the 6 weeks holiday. The provision supports children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and children who speak English as an additional language.

Middle Rasen Nursery is run by a Voluntary Management Committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. An AGM is held each year to elect members onto the committee, however, new members can join the Membership Body at any time. To comply with our obligations to the Charity Commission, Middle Rasen Nursery needs to ensure that we have a number of parents who are members of The Committee.
The Committee exists to provide governance and structure to the Nursery and to ensure that the Nursery fulfills the aims that it was set up to achieve.
We are always interested in new Trustees to join the Committee. There are a variety of jobs that need doing to further the aims of the Nursery. The Committee meets on average once every half term with most people involved taking away one or two jobs to complete. Trustees are co-opted onto the committee at each AGM with a maximum of 12 Trustees at any one time, three of whom being Officers of the Committee.
Each family unit has one parent automatically added as a member of the Membership Body when your child starts at the Nursery. This Membership Body controls aspects of the activities run by the Nursery.
You do not have to have a set roll on as a Member of the Membership body or the Committee to be able to help out with the organization and planning of activities. The more people that can help, the more Middle Rasen Nursery can do to raise money, organise events for the children and continue to improve the quality of learning for our children.
